Plastic fantastic?
As the worldwide current trend for resorting to plastic surgery grows, are we in danger of living in a society of clones of Barbie-doll perfection? Polly Toynbee writes about this with some real life examples from page 18 of the May issue of Candis or go to http://www.candis.co.uk/pollytoynbee -what's your opinion? Are you hooked on perscription drugs?
Sarah Wilson writes about this in Healthnews from page 60 of the May issue of Candis. This is a growing problem in the UK and is part of the storyline in popular TV series including Desperate Housewives and Brothers and Sisters. What's your experience? Are you at risk? What do you think is the cause for this increase in addiction?

To be sure some neglected children are badly under-cared for, but are the great majority these days being so over-protected that they never learn to stand on their two feet? Polly Toynbee addresses this issue from page 18 of the April issue of Candis -what's your opinion?
