And I'm having the time of my life ... albeit in a masochistic way! That's because I'm putting together the makings of a restaurant, taking over a building which needs totally refitting as, as the moment, it's a charity shop and I'm heading what I hope is the first of a few restaurants.

Fortunately a brain scan or reality check wasn't called for so, now that the finances are almost in place, I'm ready to sign the lease and go in for selling good, English, wholesome dishes just like Mum used to make me when I was a child ... and later when I was less than competent in the kitchen and starving!

I've been a member of Candis for a long time now and feel a part of the 'family' so please wish me luck. I should sign the lease within the next two weeks if all goes well.

Escape from humdrum life or a midlife crisis ... I dunno but at least I won't be bored, eh?!

Motto for the day ... Isn't life wonderful!
