The card was first used on a small purchase for about £10 and when that cleared it was used to book a flight, hotel, car hire to name but a few.  The bank stopped the card but said there would still be pending transactions that would go through.  The money should be paid back but it's the inconvenience of being out of pocket in between.  &lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Why these people aren't caught though is beyond me.  If the fraud teams, police, banks and outlets/websites where the stolen card details are being used collaborated more then these people would get caught.  The airline concerned should be able to flag up at check in that the booking is criminal and call security when they try to check in.
